Healthy Shake

Healthy Shake  – Serves 1-2 ppl
1 cup juice or milk (orange or pineapple juices are good)
1/2 cup plain instant oatmeal
1 tbsp ground flax
1 tbsp peanut butter
1 cup of fruit
1 cup crushed ice
First mix oatmeal and flax with enough water to cover, and then put it into the microwave for 30 seconds.  Next, combine all ingredients in a blender, use the crush ice feature if you have one, then I use the smoothie feature to get my shake nice and smooth 🙂
Tips:
For juice use orange or pineapple.  Experiment with others if you like.  Smoothie’s works best with a nice refreshing juice.
For fruit use whatever you like.  Always peel apples and anything that needs peeling.  Coconuts usually don’t work out well due to the consistency.  Grapes are good.  Also, try combining two types of fruit if you prefer (I like strawberry & banana), but don’t add more than a cup of both; otherwise, it changes the consistency.  For more fruit add more juice.
