Crockpot Meatballs

I found this recipe on the Allrecipes site.  It had a nice combination of ingredients, and I really wanted to use my crock pot since I don’t use it much.  I would definitely make this recipe again; however, my next step is to find a really good recipe for Swedish meatballs.  We love to get them at Ikea…thankfully we don’t go there very often.
Origination of recipe:

Crock-pot Meatballs
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 1/4 cups Italian seasoned bread crumbs (or crackers)
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium red onion, chopped
1 egg, beaten
1 (26 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
1 (16 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
1 (14.25 ounce) can tomato puree
1) In a bowl, mix the ground beef, bread crumbs, parsley, garlic, onion, and egg. Shape the
mixture into 16 meatballs.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2)   Evenly space the meatballs on a cookie sheet, and then cook the meatballs for about
5-7 minutes on each side sealing them, and slightly browning the outside.

3)    In the crock pot, mix the spaghetti sauce, crushed tomatoes, and tomato puree. Place the
meatballs into the sauce mixture. Cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours.

I had them with a little parmesan cheese, and they were yummy!
